Research Technician I (Assistant Lab Manager)
We are looking for a Research Technician in the Lu laboratory, Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics (MMGE) at Indiana University School of Medicine, Melvin and Bren Simon Cancer Center, and Vera Bradley Breast Cancer Center. Researchers within the Department of MMGE are applying cutting-edge techniques to identify and target disease-associated genes and genomic events, including potential drug targets in human cancers. The Lu laboratory (http://xiongbinlulab.org) is a leader in the development of targeted cancer therapy and nanodrugs. To maintain this high-quality work standard an excellent Research Technician is needed.
The ideal candidate must have a BS degree in biology, chemistry, or relevant fields. She/he needs to have a minimum of one year research experience in a basic or medical research laboratory. In addition, the candidate must demonstrate attention to detail, teamwork, professional attitude, ability to multi task, take direction and work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required.
