Dr. Dongqi Liu join our lab on Nov,15th ,2023
Dongqi Liu earns a Bachelor of Medicine in Forensic Medicine from Sichuan University and a Doctor of Philosophy from Purdue University specializing in Microbiology and Immunology. His research focuses on Listeria monocytogenes pathogenesis, biofilm formation, and engineered probiotics. Recognizing the dual nature of microbes as both adversaries and allies, Dongqi Liu is enthusiastic about leveraging synthetic biology's advancements. He envisions bioengineering microbes as instruments for combating diverse human ailments, including cancer and autoimmune diseases.
